Motion Activated Video Recorders are digital video recorders that have a motion activation function. The motion activation function detects motion in the field of view of camera and triggers recodrding.

Digital video recorders can also be refered as DVR's.

Many of the motion activated digital video recorders have their own built in memory and record to SD card or micro sd card. The DVR's can be built into many different packages making them easy to hide and conceal.

One of the big advantages of having the motion activation feature is increased battery power. Many of the motion activated digital video recorders will go into sleep mode and only start recording when they detect motion. The DVR will then record until it stops seeing motion.

These cameras have great bettery life and can be concealed in about anything you can imagine.

Motion Activated Video Recorders gives you choices just like full size DVR’s from manual record, scheduled record ,motion detection recording, time and date stamp all packed into one small device. The video is stored on the SD card for portability. Video can be viewed directly from the Security Recorder using a TV or through windows media player by simply removing the SD card and insert into your computer’s card reader.

Since the video recorders record direct to SD card you will need to use a hidden camera lens detector in order to detect these types of hidden cameras.
